There are no public roads! The race follows the “stretch road” to the mountain campus, past Frost Chapel, Berry College Elementary & Middle School, and the Old Mill, through the WinShape dairy barns, down Possum Trot Rd., and back to main campus on the Viking Trail to the finish line at the Ford Buildings. This is a relatively flat course with a few moderate hills (download elevation chart / course map below). The bulk of the course is run on paved surface with a short distance on hard-packed dirt road (mile 6-7 to the Old Mill) and another short distance on gravel (mile 8-9 on Possum Trot Rd).

Half Marathon Start Time \\\

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. The starting line is located in front of the Ford Buildings at Berry College. The half marathon and the 10K will start together.

Water Stations / Aid Stations \\\

The half-marathon course has six water stations, all of which will have water and Powerade. Four of these will have restrooms, while three will have GU energy gels.

Packet Pickup \\\

A race wouldn’t be complete without a goodie bag! Packet pickup will be held in the Krannert Ballroom at Berry College from 12:30pm – 5:30pm the day before the race and from 6 – 7:30am the day of the race.

All half marathon runners will receive an official short-sleeve tech T-shirt and post-race refreshments in addition to this year’s finisher’s medal.

 Course Safety \\\

The half-marathon course will be open for four hours. All walkers and runners must finish within the four-hour cutoff time. Walkers who start the race before the 8:00 start time will not be permitted through the finishing chute. For everyone’s safety, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. Violators will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area. Unfortunately do to safety concerns, we are not able to accommodate wheelchair athletes at this time.

 Awards \\\

Half Marathon Awards will start at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the awards stage near the finish line. Cash prizes and awards to top three male/female finishers: 1st place $250; 2nd place $150; 3rd place $100. All finishers will receive a technical shirt and a medal. Awards for Male and Female categories: Masters (40 & over), Grandmasters (50 & over); 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each age group (15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over).
