PRE RACE INFORMATION \\\

 

PACKET PICKUP:
Runners can pick up their packets/bib/chip on Friday, March 7, in the Spruill Ballroom in the Krannert Center (Berry College Student Center) Download Map on Berry’s campus from 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm OR on race day from 6-7:30 am (Half marathon and 10k) or 6-8 am (5k) in the Spruill Ballroom. Please be sure to have a your confirmation email or a drivers license to ensure a quick check-in experience. If you are picking up someone else’s race bib at packet pickup, please be sure to have their confirmation email or a drivers license.

*Please note that there will be no registration / packet pickup out at the start / finish line. All registration and packet pickup will be in the Spruill Ballroom.

 

RACE WAIVER:

All participants must sign a race wavier to participate in all races. If you missed this step during online registration, please visit the link below to sign the waiver prior to packet pickup. If you are unable to sign the race waiver online prior to packet pickup, we will have race waivers available at packet pickup. However, we strongly encourage all participants that haven’t signed the race waiver online to sign it prior to arriving to ensure a quick checkin process on race day. https://runsignup.com/Login

 

 

RACE DAY INFORMATION  \\\

Start Times March 8th:

  • Half Marathon: 8:00 am
  • 10k: 8:00 am (The Half Marathon and 10k will start together.)
  • 5k: 8:20 am
  • Fun Run: 10:30 am (Registration Opens at 9:00 am at the start / finish line of the fun run)

Course Time Limit: 4 hours. First time runners and walkers are welcome, however for safety reasons strollers will not be allowed.

Parking: All parking is on campus. We recommend arriving on campus at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the race if you did not pick up your race packet on Friday (03.01.2024).

Bag Check: Store your personal items in the Bag Check tent while you run. All items must fit into a drawstring bag (provided). No backpacks, please. Runners may discard extra layers at the 1-mile mark or at a water station and we will bring them to the Lost and Found/Bag Check tent. Do this at your own risk – we cannot be held responsible for discarded items.

Aid Stations: Check the course map (view at www.berryhalfmarathon.com) for water station and porta-potty locations. There are 6 Aid stations on the half marathon course, 2 on the 10k course, and 1 on the 5k course. All stations have water, Powerade and first aid kits. Gu Energy Gel will be available at aid stations on the half marathon course after mile 4.

Medical/Emergency: Medical staff will be available in the First Aid Tent at the finish line. There will be Emergency Medical Technicians on the course.

Race Photos: There will be no race photographer at this year’s race due to the decline in interest over the last several years.

Results/Awards: Results will be posted online at www.berryhalfmarathon.com. See race website for age categories. Award Times: 5k-9:45 10k-10:15 HM-11:00. Unclaimed awards will not be mailed, but can be picked up at Berry College Elementary/Middle School 3/11 until 3/13.

The event will be held rain or shine unless Acts of God. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancelation due to Acts of God.
